ITINERARY

DAY 1 LIMA PICK UP
Upon arrival reception and transfer to the select hotel - overnight (no meals)

Day 2 LIMA /  PUERTO MALDONADO - TAMBOPATA 3 DAYS/ 2 NIGHTS
You will be picked up from your hotel  to take you the the airport. Flight to Puerto Maldonado. Welcome at Puerto Maldonado’s airport, transfer in bus to the port where our motor boat takes us on an hour ride on the Madre de Dios River toward Nái-Mecí Lodge, an exotic drink as welcome and receive an interesting briefing from our guide and discuss general rain forest ecology. Immediately after relaxing and refreshing at our fantastic bungalows, we can Start walking in the forest through the trail system, use the observation tower at the swamp and observe macaw nests and an amazing jungle sunset. Dinner and a shortbriefing for next day plans. As optional an interesting night walk to observe insects and amphibians. Overnight at Nái-Mecí Lodge. Meals: Lunch, Dinner.

Day 3
TAMBOPATA RIVER
A buffet breakfast will be offered for all our guests starting early activities. Once again our motor boat will take us on the river to observe the fabulous bird life until the rangers control and the entry to Sandoval Lake located in Tambopata Reserve. We start a 3 kilometer walk through an interesting trail until the Lake it self, board small canoes and paddle to observe monkeys, turtles, etc. and if lucky the family of Giant Otters. We walk back to our motorized boat and to our lodge. As a free option you can experience the adrenaline flying over the jungle form platform to platform in our canopy zip down. Dinner and overnight at Nái-Mecí Lodge.

Day 4 PUERTO MALDONADO - CUSCO
Departure. A dawn start is required for the canoe trip back to Puerto Maldonado giving memorable views of the sun rise over the river. Lookout for the early morning wildlife which is particularly active at this time. Howler monkeys are frequently heard, as they stakeout their territories. Your guide will take care of you on arrival in Puerto Maldonado and will deal with all the necessities at the airport prior to you departure. (B)

Day 5 CITY TOUR PM
Morning at leisure, afternoon 2;00pm you will be taken on a city tour and visit a local archeological sites, the Cathedral, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman and surroundings returning later afternoon 5:30pm to your hotel around and enjoy the hospitality of the local people (B)

Day 6 SACRED VALLEY
After breakfast at 8:45am you will be taken through the Inca Sacred Valley where life has remained almost unchanged for 500 years. You will visit the impressive village of Pisac and the Indian market, enjoy the beautiful handicrafts on sale and wonder at the many ethnic tribal costumes worn, not just for tourists, but as part of their heritage by the local people. The tour also include the visit to Ollantaytambo fortress and the Chinchero Market Before returning to your hotel in Cusco late afternoon (around 6:30pm)(breakfast and Lunch included)

Day 7 INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU 4/3
to Km. 82
At six in the morning, we pick up our passengers at their hotels and travel by bus to the Km 82, the start of the Inca Trail. We start our trek escorted by native “Quechua'' porters hike to Llulluchapampa. The first day the trail leads along the Urubamba River, offering you spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and intense flora. camp at Huayllabamba (breakfast at Hotel, lunch and dinner on hike)

Day 8 PACAMAYO

We will begin to climb the first pass, Warmiwañusca (4,200 m. alt.), This second day is more challenging as you climb a 4.200-meter high pass, often covered in mist where there is a spectacular view of the valley below. This night, we will camp along the river Pacamayo at the bottom of the pass.(breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)

Day 9 WIÑAYHUAYNA
After breakfast, we will hike towards Runku Rakay and traverse the second pass of the same name (3,800 masl). A stone path guides you through a dense cloud forest to Wiña Wayna, passing many Inca ruins on the way final night near the ruins of Wiñayhuayna, (breakfast,Lunch,dinner)

Day 10 MACHU PICCHU
We will rise very early so that we may watch the sunrise from Inti Punku “Sun Gate” the fog lifts and you are looking down onto Machu Picchu just as the Incas did centuries before you. The sight is awe inspiring - a sprawling temple bathed in sunlight. Guided tour follow by some time at leisure, overnight at the Presidente hostal or similar - overnight

Day 11 MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Morning at leisure to explore by your own (entrance and bus fee not included on the rate) in the afternoon we will take the train back in Cusco where we will arrive around 8:30pm (breakfast) As an option, you may stay overnight in Machu Picchu - easy to arrange upon request

Day 12 CUSCO / PUNO
7:00am pick up from your hotel and transfer to the bus station to depart to Puno 8 hours journey, on the way you will visit some archeological sites, arrival reception and transfer to select Hotel - overnight (B+L)

Day 13 UROS AND TAQUILE

We will pick you up from your hostel at 07.15 a.m. and we will go to our boat. Today we will visit the floating islands of Uros, located inside the bay of Lake Titikaka only nine miles away from the city (20 to 30 minutes of navigation). It is believed that the Uros were one of the first ethnic groups populating the Andean region. When the Spanish chroniclers encountered the Uros by the end of the XVI century, the Uros were still living on the lake in small reed-boats that they used as floating houses. Only in the early 60's, the Uros started to build small artificial islands with reeds for their homes. Then we will discover Taquile, the biggest island of the lake. Taquile has approximately 1,200 inhabitants. The people from this island have a Quechua origin and they are mostly small farmers. We will arrive in the northern dock of the island and we will start 1 hour hike as far as the main village of Taquile, where we will visit the plaza and the market. After lunch we will return to Puno from the main dock. We will arrive in Puno at 17:30 p.m.
Note: Take note that there are 533 steps to get on top of the Island

Day 14 PUNO / LIMA
Breakfast You will be picked up form your hotel  to take you the the airport ( airfare included)on the way you will visit to the archaeological center of Sillustani. We will observe impressive funeral tombs belonging to the Kolla culture (1200-1450). Their noble class (Caciques, priests) were buried in funeral towers called chullpas. Their corpses were previously mummified and placed in fetus position together with some of their belongings, such as gold and silver objects, jewelry, ceramics, and food. Upon arrival transfer to the Hotel .Overnight(b)

Day 15 TRANSFER OUT

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back in Lima (airfare included)   - end of our services
